The vivid colours and gestural brushwork of “Paramount, 2023” capture the love of the artist for the myriad landscapes of Go Home Lake, Georgian Bay, Ontario. She is humbled by the strength and resilience of the Canadian Shield.
“Pink elephant” is an environmental activist work. Using acrylic paint and charcoal on a 30” X 40” stretched canvas, this apocalyptic painting reveals the artist's vision of what the planet would look like if we, humans, do not take care of it.
Roots is a metaphysical exploration of memory, temporality, and the sublime.
Worlds Apart is an exploration of memory and temporality. It illustrates my overwhelming joy and gratitude of being on and in the magical, tea-coloured waters of the Essequibo River that runs through the mysterious Amazonian rainforests of Guyana.
Pining, 2022 is a play on the words "pine" for "pinus strobus" (the white pine tree ) and "pining" (or longing) for the spiritual and nurturing energy of Go Home Lake in Georgian Bay, Ontario.
Magnetized, 2023 with its vivid colours and gestural brushwork captures, the hypnotic and symbiotic relationship between Georgian Bay’s pink granite bedrock and the iconic pine trees which they support.
